Previously, revolutionaries understood their role as introducing movement into that facet of domination that had appeared as eternal. But this role has itself now become eternalised. And in its place, those who were once revolutionaries are now forced by circumstance to intervene in favour of that which is not moving where everything in the world is defined by its 'real movement'. They must identify, separate out, and hold back some thing, anything, that is not hurtling towards the desert.
